We presented three different layout ideas and after some changing of colour schemes she chose this layout.
The layout is a single, centered, fixed width column for the content, floating over a background picture. The menu uses CSS rollover techniques to change the image as a section is hovered over. A small bit of javascript is used to make images pop up in seperate windows when clicked on. Her email address was also obfuscated to reduce spam.
A global CSS file gives a common look and feel to the site whilst, a small, seperate css file for each section allows Amanda to change the background image for any pages and over-ride the default one.
SynthSights is an email discussion forum for people around the world who use synthesizers to make music. The list is very popular and has a lor of subscribers.
They wanted to update the look and feel of the site, and also to add some extra functionality. In particular, the members page was getting quite large and included a lot of pictures, so it was broken into 4 sub sections, according to alphabetical name. But also retaining a full members page at the same time.

The commission this time was to update an old frames based site, using CSS and to update the look and feel.
Chris particularly liked the layout and menu that was used for the www.itschoolsafrica.org.
Also of importance was to retain links to exsiting old pages, simple re-directors were used to maintain links, but also present the page in it's new and updated format

The commission was to redesign the out of date site, with a new look and feel. To give something that looked organized, clean and easy to navigate. But, at the same time, ensure that the site would not look too corporate or too bland.
Special attention was paid to making sure the site was cross browser compliant, ensuring that everyone would be able to view the site without the look and feel being spoiled or radically different.

The commission was to re-design the site, fully standards compliant, so it would be accessible to all users around the globe. In addition to this, some re-working of the sites structure and layout, also, to improve ease of navigation and clarity.
They also chose to take advantage of our site maintenance service for their site, which will provide them with updates and testing/updating as new web browsers are launched
