GorF - Specifications
Here are the specs so far, I don't expect these to grow much, if at all. I will move things from the "to be done" list, to the list of features over the coming week or two.
As of Version 1.00 of the OS it has the following features
- Ability to store and load 64 sequences, 8 sequences in 8 banks (I2C EEPROM required for banks 2 - 8)
- 8 Steps per sequence
- Ability to chain two sequences
- Each step has Note number, velocity, gate on/off, CC1 and CC2 controls
- Variable Tempo (or MIDI sync yet)
- Variable 'base note' for the notes being played
- Variable step length
- Legato mode
- Variable sequence length (1 to 8 steps)
- Selectable CC's for CC1 and CC2 channels
- MIDI Clock out (with start/stop)
- Rock solid timing
- MIDI Sync In
- knob "snap" mode to prevent unwanted value changes
- MIDI sysex update of code
In control mode the pots do the following:
- Knob 1 controls tempo,
- Step 1 Switch toggles "snap" mode,
- Knob 2 changes note potscale,
- Knob 3 controls Root note for the sequence,
- Knob 4 controls Sequence length,
- Knob 5 changes MIDI channel,
- Knob 6 changes Clock source (internal or MIDI),
- Knob 7 changes CC1,
- Knob 8 changes CC2.
